RAVENSDALE'S DEFIANT CAPTIVE by Melanie Milburne

Author Melanie Milburne delivers a full on entertaining story in Ravensdale’s Defiant Captive. Reading this brand-new novel has been a wonderful experience! The first book in Ms. Milburne’s new series: Ravensdale Scandals will grip from page one. This engrossing tale will take you out for a drama filled spin. You will be breathlessly satisfied throughout the novel. High-octane drama, lots of feisty attitude, spot-on dialogue and well developed characters will get under your skin. The heroine, Holly Perez, is a breath of fresh air. Her entire life has been jarred and broken. I loved her attitude, her personality. She is wicked in a naughty, fun-loving way. The hero, Julius Ravensdale, is gorgeous and the perfect alpha as much as he is kind, considerate and hot. I must say that the chemistry between him and Holly explodes between the pages. I think this novel might be my favorite MM Harlequin Presents!

ONE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS Susan Carlisle

Susan Carlisle’s latest emotionally charged medical romance One Night Before Christmas is a short and absorbing read. It doesn’t linger much on the medical angle but the story is sustained with the drama in the lives of the characters. Football also plays a key point in keeping the book interesting. Dr. Dalton Reynolds travels to New York to evaluate a patient. He arrives with determination to finish the job and leave as soon as he is done. But he does not expect distraction in the form of Dr. Melanie Hyde. Even though their initial meeting had not gone so well, fate brings them together under unexpected circumstances. But with the baggage they both carry, Melanie and Dalton finds comfort in each other’s arms…(I don’t want to give any spoilers here.)

A good story that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. I read it in less than six hours!

I’ve always marveled at the wonders of IVF. No amount of research or reading material could enlighten me on such a thing. I will forever be amazed and even though I have never met anyone who has gone through with the process or thinking of going through with the process, I was glad to have met Hope Sanders. You see, Hope is a midwife and she is thinking of having a baby using IVF. What makes a single woman chose such a path? This character Hope answers many of my questions. She gives me insight into her life, her thoughts, her fears and her weaknesses. She sheds light on her love life or lack thereof. She is strong and she is thinks with her head. I love how brave she is when she faces the world yet deep down there is a part of her that is incomplete. A baby will fill the void. Only one man could make her double think… I view Dr. Aaron Cartwright as a man who thinks long and hard before he attempts to do anything in his life. He is not an introvert but he loves keeping to himself. He knows Hope just by seeing her in the hospital corridors. One day the two of them gets close. Their chemistry ratio explodes. They have a fling. But Aaron is one man who is allergic to long relationships. But with unexpected turn of events he might just need to reconsider his priorities…

(I tried as hard as possible not to give away any spoilers but all I can say is that Aaron and Hope get the HEA they deserve!)

Her Christmas Baby Bump is a deeply touching, deeply moving story. It is about two people who have had to carry heavy burdens in their past but through their current relationship builds something strong and lasting. This newly blossoming relationship will carry them through into the future and give them the love they need to remain strong and happy.

A CHRISTMAS VOW OF SEDUCTION by Maisey Yates

Maisey Yates has hit the nail hard on the head in A Christmas Vow of Seduction. I couldn’t resist the temptation, the angst, the drama and the sexy times. This book is sugar rush to my brain. HOT AND SWEET.

Author Kate James’ WHEN THE RIGHT ONE COMES ALONG brims with emotional intensity. It is an emotional rollercoaster ride! Brilliant writing transports readers into a sentimental place filled with deeply moving moments of spell-binding drama and heartbreak which is eventually healed with a balm called love. Keep a box of tissues close-by because the characters’ journey in this beautifully written story will have you wiping a tear or two.

Calen Palmer is seriously injured when he and his canine partner Scout, put themselves in harm’s way to save victims from a massive earthquake that hit San Diego. He is sent to Ocean Crest Hospital for treatment where he is cared for by Jessica Hansen, a trauma surgeon.

By doctor’s orders, he must stay off his feet for a few weeks but what happens to Scout? His canine friend needs his exercise. So Cal asks his brother Drew to help out with Scout, but the dog is rambunctious and Drew has no other choice but to return Scout to Cal. Cal recalls the way Jessica and Scout had bonded, so he decides to ask her for her help. She agrees to helping out with Scout and so a friendship builds.

Cal and Jessica become more than just acquaintances, but as always, obstacles block them from reaching their HEA. If they desire a lasting, forever-after life together, they must solve the problems standing in their way.

Ms. James’ novel draws you in from page one, and leaves you feeling happy and then tormented as the crisis point breaks but eventually she brings her characters together in the most beautiful and deserving way. This is one Harlequin Heartwarming story you should not miss!

GIFT-WRAPPED IN HER WEDDING DRESS by Kandy Shepherd

Who doesn’t love Christmas stories where mishaps and wrong decisions bring unexpected, polar opposite couples together? I sure do. Gift-Wrapped in Her Wedding Dress is one such story. I must praise author Kandy Shepherd for her simple yet beautiful prose. Easy reading is hard writing or so someone said. I like the entire setup. The characters were fun, the story-line spot on and the dialogue engaging. Gift-Wrapped in Her Wedding Dress tells the story of billionaire Dominic Hunt, a scrooge who doesn’t do Christmas and Andie Newman a soft-hearted, spunky woman who revels in everything about the Christmas season. Andie is hired to organize a party for Dominic during the Christmas season. But Dominic has his own agenda hosting this party. He needs to clean up his public image and he very well may be a control freak. But meeting Andie, working with Andie, having Andie’s opinions to guide him, Dominic doesn’t expect to lose his heart in the process. As the story unravels, the reason behind Dominic’s scrooge attitude comes to light—his pain—and this garners my compassion towards him. Andie heals the void deep in his heart, and his soul. Her touch, her kindness, her soothing words, her friendly tone, her simplicity envelopes him and just like the scrooge, Dominic finally accepts the season for what it is: a time to love, a time to share, a time to be happy, a time to be mellow, joyful and thankful, sharing every moment with family and friends.

Gift-Wrapped in Her Wedding Dress is a well-written, solid book with just the right touch of Christmas to add the glitter on top!

THE PLAYBOY OF ARGENTINA by Bella Frances is engrossing, sexy and funny in its own sophisticated way. The characters are likable and full of life. Rocco ‘Hurricane’ Hermida is full of himself at times that I sometimes wish I could smack him hard. Although in end he however wins me over with his chivalrous ways. And what’s not to love about Francesca Ryan aka Frankie? I enjoyed her inward banter as much as I enjoyed the banter between her and Rocco. She deserves to be loved after all she has had to endure over the years. I am happy to have met her. With engaging and believable dialogue, vividly scenic descriptions, a splash of Argentinean lingo and phrases interspersed throughout the story and a plot with enough twists to sustain the story, makes this page-turning Modern novel one of my favorites!

Overall, The Playboy of Argentina is an explosive read, guaranteed to keep you riveted!

I thoroughly enjoyed this short and sweet historical romance and would most certainly recommend it to readers who enjoy reading the Historical Romance genre.

TALOS CLAIMS HIS VIRGIN by Michelle Smart

If I had to choose one of my favorite Michelle Smart book I’d pick up Talos Claims His Virgin. The first book in the Kalliakis Crown trilogy has taken me on an entertaining journey. Ms. Smart paints a scenic picture from page one. The characters are likable and well-developed. So much that they jump right out at you. I personally love the way the author reveals the characters’ back-story…a little bit at a time. This fuels the urge to keep reading. The plot is intricately woven in such a way that you cannot put the book down. Talos, the hero is one heck of an alpha. He is arrogant, funny, broody and emotional all wrapped in one. But deep down Talos carries a heavy burden, the cause being a not so perfect childhood. Amalie Cartwright, the heroine, is feisty, strong and funny at times as much as she is a brilliant violinist. But she has fears like anyone else. Those fears are so big but Talos makes it his duty to help her overcome it. But being so close to each other ignites a flame that turns into a full-on blaze and it is not before long that they are in each other’s arms.

Overall, Talos Claims His Virgin by Michelle Smart is a good story that leaves you breathlessly satisfied. I’d recommend it to all romance readers.

Since Cole’s sister-in-law is the Nurse Practitioner at the clinic, his brother hires Dr. Elisabeta Silva to help.

Dr. Silva, better known as Lizzie has always had bad luck. After her grandmother’s death when she was merely ten, Lizzie has seen more foster homes than she could count. These homes lacked basic incentives that a child needs…for instance love. Until at one foster home, she meets a woman who has helped in changing her life. As an adult she has had to cope with a fair deal of her own heartbreaks. It hasn’t been easy for her. When the opportunity arises for her to work in Wyoming she jumps at it with all the passion in her. It is in Wyoming that Lizzie finds a different kind of love in the form of the very broody Cole!

But will Cole have a change of heart and love again?

I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to fellow readers! It has a warm touch to it even though the medical field plays a small but vital role in contributing to the H/h’s HEA.

But living close to his family made it a duty for him to help out at the family ranch when need arises. So he hires a Nurse Practitioner who he soon realizes was a woman who he had shared a wonderful night with almost thirteen years ago, when they both were too young to settle down.

Julie Sterling has returned to her little hometown of Wyoming after her parents had passed on. But she has kept a secret all these years and seeing Trevor again opens Pandora’s Box. Trevor doesn’t know he has a son and Julie’s son has no clue Trevor is his father.

Working for Trevor is one thing but with him apologizing for the night they’d spent was another. With the secret weighing down on her mind, Julie blurts the truth out the same day she’d been hired. Trevor’s reaction is not what she had expected. Trevor clams up and hides in his own kinda shell giving Julie the impression he does not care he has a son. But for Trevor the feeling is different, He does want his son in his life but most of all he wants his son’s mother by his side too.

The only problem between Trevor and Julie now is for Trevor to reveal his feelings regarding this shocking revelation.

Author Lynne Marshall is such a dedicated writer. Her books have high strung emotions flitting off the pages as she tests and tempt her characters so much that in the end their HEA comes together so beautifully!

Fans are in for a wonderful story!

Rachel Bailey is in a league of her own. She creates characters that are wholesome, intriguing, and full of life and depth. In BIDDING ON HER BOSS, the story yields an essence of reality. Brilliant writing brings out the best in Ms. Bailey’s characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish!

Dylan Hawke is strong, thoughtful, caring and kind. Even though he has a wild streak hidden behind his well made up good looks, he is more than what meets the eye. Beneath his charming image is a man whose heart is made of pure gold. He cares so much about other people that he inspires and motivates them—especially Faith.

Faith Crawford on the other hand is a woman who knows just what she wants. She is determined, focused and full of ambition. All she dreams about is to have her floral designs featured in Hawke’s Bloom catalog and what better way to get through to her boss that’s she worth it than buying him at a charity auction!

But Dylan has his reasons for auctioning himself off. So when on his first date, with Faith, his cheery employee, leads to a world-tipping kiss, Dylan knows he’s in big trouble. Faith tempts him more than he likes and he isn’t sure he can evade his attraction towards her for long.

Overall, BIDDING ON HER BOSS is a charming story that readers are sure to enjoy and re-read, because the book is that good!

Carefully constructed back story and lofty descriptions add insight into a way of life so long ago.

In THE KING’S MAN, Kit Lovell and Thamsine Granville’s story is told.

I thoroughly enjoyed A SWEET POSSIBILITY by author Natalie Charles. The author paints a convincing and believable tale even as she highlights real life incidents that the character Jessie, faces. Overall, this story is a sharp, quick read and readers are bound to find the plot, characters and trope believable and touching.

The moment I picked up Karin Baine's debut medical romance I knew I would not be disappointed with her work. Poetic and descriptive writing, engaging dialogue, thoroughly created characters and a tightly woven plot propels FRENCH FLING TO FOREVER into the must-read, highly recommended level.

Lola Roberts needs to stay focused. Her new job as a junior doctor demands her entire attention. She cannot entertain any distractions even if her French boss, Dr. Henri Benoit has awakened every inch of her…tempting her to divert her focus with distracting thoughts filled with only Henri. She knows she cannot resist him for long…

Henri is one hot doc! He adds sizzle and edge to this rather warm story.

Overall, FRENCH FLING TO FOREVER brings emotional drama to the medical romance series with this fulfilling story.

Overall, I think this is a brilliant medical romance. It has the touch of extravagance and high society class to its storyline and I personally feel the author executed her writing with perfection. The dialogue is full of zest. The characters are well-developed and likable. The plot is intricately woven with high strung emotions and twists and turns due to thoroughly researched plot points. This story is definitely worth re-reading and fans are in for one heck of a medical treat!

Ms. Hayward has done an incredible job penning this story. With the right words the author brings out the raw emotions her characters feel, giving readers a clear perspective to the renewed romance that builds with each chapter. The characters are strong, resilient and well-developed. And for me Diana proves to be the one with the most strength and self-will to face her problems head on. Coburn has the will of a warrior and his strength and his masculine grace makes him the perfect hero for his heroine. The dialogue is edgy and the chemistry just catches fire between the pages…

Will Diana and Coburn reach the pinnacle of their HEA without obstacles distracting them or would they have to fight a battle of will to claim the happiness they so rightfully deserve?

Overall, REUNITED FOR THE BILLIONAIRE'S LEGACY is a beautiful story and the perfect escape read for fans needing a timeout from a long day of hard work. Sit back, prop your feet up and enjoy!
